According to an information of DGPR received here on Sunday Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said in his message on the birth anniversary of a great philosopher and poet of the subcontinent that the whole nation should resolve today that it would follow the principles and teachings of Allama Iqbal and work with commitment and dedication for the socio-economic and political development of Pakistan.
Paying rich tributes to a great philosopher of the subcontinent, the Chief Minister said that Allama Iqbal created awareness among Muslims of the subcontinent about the achievements of their forefathers and the glorious past of Islam. The Muslims under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah succeeded in materialising the dream of Allama Iqbal on August 14, 1947.
He said that the prevalent situation demanded that nation should follow the philosophy and teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in letter and spirit and think above linguistic, ethnic and sectarian differences and play role for the progress and prosperity of the country and restoration of peace.
