Altaf slams harassment of party activists in Punjab

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain has criticised Punjab government for harassing journalists, anchor-persons and party men for 'presenting point of view of MQM' in the Punjab province. In a statement here Monday, he said that his party reserves the right to hold peaceful protest against such vindictive actions all over the country.
He advised the provincial government to refrain from utilising coercive measures and use of state authority against journalists and MQM workers. Altaf expressed solidarity with journalists, anchorpersons and workers of MQM Punjab and said that he has sent a fact-finding team to Punjab province to ascertain the truth.
