AJK, Punjab and NWFP receive rains, snowfalls

The weather got cold with the first rain of the season in parts of Azad Kashmir, Punjab and NWFP Monday. According to Meteorological Department rain is expected to end Tuesday evening in Central Punjab. In Azad Kashmir, rains continued for the second day.
On Saturday night, rain and snowfall continued in all ten districts, including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Mirpur, Kotli, Rawla Kot, and Bagh whereas several feet snow has fallen in several areas, including Neelum and Leepa valleys. In Lahore, rain with lightening and hailstorm continued for an hour whereas reports of rain were also received from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Jhelum, Toba Tek Singh, and Gujranwala. Rains have started in different areas of NWFP. During the last 24 hours, it rained 7mm in Parachinar, 11mm in Chitral, 24 in Dir, and 5.1 mm in Mingora.
