Imran Khan undergoes intestinal operation

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has undergone operation of intestine here at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital on Monday. Imran was admitted to the hospital this morning following severe pain in his stomach, when he was busy in daily routine exercise at his Zaman Park residence, sources in PTI told Business Recorder.
Imran was rushed to Shaukat Khanum Hospital where doctors after preliminary investigations found blockade in his intestine. In view of severe pain faced by Imran Khan, the doctors got conducted his operation that lasted for about an hour. The doctors of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital said that operation remained successful and Imran Khan is now stable.
He was admitted in a private room of the hospital after the operation. Doctors have advised four-day bed rest for Imran Khan. On hearing news about condition of Imran Khan, a large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists thronged Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital to know about health of their leader. The party workers present at the hospital prayed for early recovery of their party head.
In the wake of health problem of Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf cancelled all party programmes scheduled in Lahore in connection with the party's mass contact drive. However, leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that party's activities would be resumed from Tuesday as per schedule.
It may be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday kicked off its mass contract campaign from Lahore with a resolve to bring change in country's system, if voted to power. Imran had asked Sharif brothers to give up dual policy. Leaders of different political parties including PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, MQM Quaid Altaf Hussein have expressed satisfaction over successful operation of Imran Khan. They prayed for early recovery of Imran Khan and also extended good wishes for him.
