CJP will not attend International Conference of Jurists

Due to judicial professional commitments Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will not be able to participate as a special guest in the "International Conference of Jurists" in India.
The CJP would not be able to attend the conference in New Delhi and Agra from 21 to 23 November and to receive "International Jurists Award-2009" which would be presented by Indian President at the Plenary Auditorium of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, the spokesman of Supreme Court of Pakistan said. He said that the programme would be rescheduled, enabling the CJP to personally receive the award. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has conveyed its deepest regret to the Organisers, he added.
