The PPP has established itself as an anti-establishment party. It has its intact, hugely devoted vote bank among the poorest of the society, which is on another count, uncouth, uneducated, believing more in personality worship, than knowing anything about the norms of democracy.
With supportive sentiment around, the PPP has always found itself in power at the wrong time in history. It has always found itself submerged in all sorts of wrongdoings, thanks to its own doings. Its exit strategy in all such situations has always been putting itself as a victim of the establishment's clique, though brought into power by the establishment themselves. And it has, so far, worked. But will this work always?
