CDA to launch 60-day water conservation campaign from November 15

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would launch a 60-day campaign from November 15 to create awareness among masses about water conservation and to avoid its wastage. This water conservation campaign is being jointly organised by CDA, Mass Awareness for Water Conservation and Development (MAWCD) project, funded by United Nations Development Programme, Ministry of Science and Technology and executed by Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources.
In this regard, MoU was signed between National Project Director UNDR Dr Abdul Majeed and Director General Water Management Wing Sanaullah Aman. Sanaullah Aman told newsmen on Friday that under the drive, efforts would be made to create awareness among masses through posters, banners, electronic media, workshops, seminars, door to door awareness campaign by students besides arranging competitions and lectures in various schools, colleges and universities. DG Water Management Wing Sanaullah Aman has urged all students, teachers, NGOs, citizens of Islamabad to join hands with CDA, MAWCD, UNDP, PCRWR to make the awareness campaign a big success.
