Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas carriageway, Thar Coal project: KCCI lauds signing of agreements

President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad has lauded the efforts of CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Advisor to CM Sindh on Investment, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala for signing two agreements under public-private partnership namely Hyderabad-Mirpur Khas Dual Carriage Highway and Thar Coal Energy Project.
President-KCCI, Abdul Majid observed that both ventures hold significance and will prove as milestone for prosperity and development of Sindh and Pakistan. The Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas Dual Carriage Highway would reduce the travelling time between two cities and benefit the commuters, business-travellers and the residents of the areas. Commodities would be swiftly transported between the two cities and to other destinations, he articulated.
Majid, while commenting on the Thar Coal Energy Project, voiced that the said project was neglected since the inception of Pakistan. He paid tribute to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah & Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala for taking personal interests in the said project and taking prompt measures, under public-private partnership, to motivate the international consortium and signing agreement for the long-awaited project.
Execution of Thar Coal Energy Project has brought a sigh of relief and it will control and curtail the energy crisis in Pakistan and alongside, will provide cheaper energy as compared to the contemporary energy solutions available in Pakistan, he added.-PR
