In pursuance of directions of Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, the Ministry of Health has formed a committee to hold inquiry against the doctors of a private hospital in Lahore to determine reasons of death of Huma Wasim, the wife of cricket legend Wasim Akram.
Wasim had alleged that doctors of a private hospital in Lahore wrongly treated his wife that led to deterioration of his wife's condition. He urged the authorities to order probe in this regard. Sources disclosed that inquiry team would be comprised of Dr Anwar ul Haq, Dr Shehla and Ghias uddin Butt. The Committee will meet doctors who treated Huma Wasim, and Wasim Akram before finalising its report that is expected to be submitted to the Prime Minister also. The Committee has been asked to submit its report within 10 days.
