Punjab government on Saturday supplied 1.6 million bags of one kilogram sugar to the 55 "Sunday Bazaars" in the province for selling to consumers at fixed price of Rs 40 per kg. The supply is in addition to the daily supply of 4,000 metric tons of sugar for the domestic consumers.
This was stated by Provincial Food Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran while presiding over a meeting here on Saturday to review the availability of sugars at "Sunday Bazars" for the domestic consumers.
He said that Rawalpindi division's "Sunday Bazaars" would be provided 510 metric tons sugar while 560 tons would be provided to Lahore division, 240 metric tons to Gujranwala division, 150 metric tons to Sargodha division, 120 metric tons to Faisalabad division, 60 tons each to Multan and Sahiwal divisions and 100 tons sugar would be supplied to Bahawalpur division's "Sunday Bazaars."
