The forum patronised by veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader in occupied Kashmir Syed Ali Gilani has urged India to accept the disputed status of Kashmir before starting the dialogue process.
According to Kashmir Media Service, leaders of the forum, addressing public gatherings in various areas held in connection with the continued district-wise campaign against land occupation by Indian troops, said that the gross human rights violations would continue till India withdrew its troops from the occupied territory.
They maintained that presence of the occupation troops was not only posing threat to their lives but it was also causing severe damage to the environment and the water resources besides melting of glaciers. The leaders said that the peace and stability in South Asia could not prevail until the Kashmir dispute was resolved. They also flayed the re-arrest of Syed Ali Gilani, describing it as an illegal act.
