The Federal government has prepared a strategy to end disparity among provinces in coming five years by shifting all social sector development projects to the provinces. According to Planning Commission sources, work has started to implement the plan with inception of economic and social sector projects in all four provinces and FATA, to making the under-developed areas at par with developed areas during 2010 to 2015.
They said following the strategy, in the first phase, development projects of federal government, relating to health and education sector would be given under the direct control of provinces. Sources added a formula of judicious dispersion of resources among provinces would also be presented through National Finance Commission (NFC), while economic empowerment will be given to provinces.
