Anti-social elements: 'action to be taken against influential people for providing shelter'

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore, has said that strict action would also be taken against influential people for providing shelter to anti-social elements. He said this while talking to citizens in an Open Court held at Capital City Police Headquarters here on Wednesday.
CCPO said that Lahore Police is determined to ensure maintenance of law and order at all cost and effective action against hardened criminal elements would continue without any discrimination. CCPO also appealed to the citizens of Lahore to keep a vigilant eye on their surroundings and inform police, about any suspicious activities in their locality in order to eradicate terrorism and other heinous crimes from the city.
Rathore warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any police officer or official who will be found involved in corrupt or illegal activities. During the open court, the CCPO directed concerned officers to take every prompt possible step to ensure redressal of genuine complaints of every citizen.
