Security forces killed six terrorists in South Waziristan Agency during the ongoing military assault against terrorists and recovered huge cache of arms, ammunitions and explosives in 'Operation Rah-e-Nijat', while four terrorists have been arrested in 'Operation Rah-e-Raast' in Malakand.
Two officers were injured during the recovery of the arms and ammunitions, said a spokesman of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday. He further said that on Jandola - Sararogha Axis sanitization was carried out at village Adire Mela and Village Khazhankai.
Huge quantity of arms and ammunitions including 12.7 mm gun were recovered. Three soldiers were injured including an officer when an IED exploded while security forces were patrolling route Jandola-Chagmalai-Siplatoi. On Shakai-Kaniguram Axis terrorists fired with small arms on security forces at Kidney Ridge near Kund Mela, resultantly five soldiers including an officer were injured and six terrorists were killed.
On Razmak-Makeen Axis security forces carried out search operation at Lita Sar and village Blanki Sar and destroyed eight bunkers. During search of Village China large quantity of arms and ammunitions recovered. About the relief activities the spokesman said that 12,469 cash cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan. While Operation Rah-e-Rast in Swat-Malakand security forces conducted search operation at Kalam, Manglor and apprehended four suspects. Whereas four suspects voluntarily surrendered themselves to security forces at Charbagh.
