Blacksmith business booms in twin cities

Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, the blacksmith business activities are on rise in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The people need sharp knives for slaughtering sacrificial animals, on Eid-ul-Azha. Khuram Iqbal, a blacksmith in Rawalpindi told APP, that hundreds of people are visiting his shop, placing orders for sharp knives, required for sacrificing animals on the Eid day.
"These are our weeks in which our business booms to earn money," he remarked. A knife shop owner at Raja Bazaar, said that the people are buying knives in large numbers. A buyer Sharif Ullah said he is buying knives, as sharpened new knife is required for proper slaughtering of sacrificial animals. Some blacksmiths are providing door to door mobile service for sharpening of old knives in houses.
