NFC to come out with a good decision on Award: Hoti

Chief Minister of NWFP, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, has said that National Finance Commission will come out with a good decision on NFC Award which will be acceptable to all the provinces. "We will have to accommodate each other in the greater national interest", he said while talking to journalists at a luncheon at Mardan House here Thursday.
Hoti said that everyone will have to give some sacrifice for the very existence of Pakistan and provinces have demanded as much from the federal government, which it is in a position to give. He pointed out that every province has its own peculiar condition and they have made their respective demands accordingly.
However, basically the NFC will take a decision on vertical distribution to be followed by dialogue on horizontal distribution. He said the Commission has discussed the Award from the point of view of various options. Chief Minister of NWFP said he is proud that he is fighting the war of existence of Pakistan and that Pakhtoon nation is not only fighting the terrorists to save their soil but also to save Pakistan.
Paying tributes and salute to police force while referring to suicide attacks and bomb blasts, the Chief Minister said, they encountered the same with all braveness and also laid down their lives. Hoti said that terrorists are carrying out suicide attacks and bomb blasts to weed out positive image of Pakistanis against terrorism and for this purpose they are targeting residential areas.
Amir Haider Hoti said since terrorists have easy access to Peshawar, therefore they try to target this city. He said that during army operation lot of killings have occurred and burials are made as per sharia requirement of shaheeds and those killed. However, detail of every single burial cannot be provided.
He said that immediate and appropriate action is taken wherever an information about presence of terrorists is received. He said what was needed is to encourage such action and the army jawans taking part in the operation are also encouraged. He said our armed forces are fighting the war of existence of Pakistan and the ongoing operation against terrorists will take time. Hoti said that government has no interest to use state power but when no option is left, then force is used. The luncheon was attended by President of ANP, Sindh, Shahi Syed and other party office-bearers and workers.
