The branches Punjab at district level will be activated to ensure better facilities of Hilal-e-Ahmar in for the people. It was decided in a meeting of Pakistan Red Crescent Society's (PRCS) Executive Committee presided over by PRCS Chairman Punjab Mian Muhammad Hanif here on Friday.
PRCS Chairman said that two more branches of Red Crescent had been set up in districts Chiniot and Nankana where ambulances and Rs 200,000 fund for each branch had also been provided.
PRCS Vice Chairman Punjab, Farid ud Din Ahmad proposed that dispensaries should be set up in underdeveloped areas of district Lahore to provide health facilities at grassroots level. Dr Amjad Saqib Brigadier, Brigadier Yasub Ali Dogar (Retd), Dr Shaukat Ali, Rizwan Bashir Sheikh and PRCS Secretary Punjab Dr Adnan Saeed were also present in the meeting.
