The photographic exhibition of the historic photographs of Liaquat Ali Khan concluded on Friday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). Some 80 rare photos from different modes of Liaquat Ali Khan's life were displayed in the three-day event, organised by the Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial Committee to pay tributes to the founding father of the nation.
The most iconic photograph was the one where Liaquat Ali Khan is addressing the Constituent Assembly whereas Quaid-e-Azam is sitting next to him. However, the rare collection includes the images of Liaquat Ali Khan during a discussion with the Grand Mufti of Palestine, receiving a play record of the national anthem and arriving to address the first government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir with Sardar Muhammed Ibrahim by his side.
Other snaps included the photograph of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan with Sardar Abdur Rab Nishter, General Ayub Khan and General Azam at Lahore garrison, arriving at Tehran Airport and a group photo at Aligarh Muslim University. Paying tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat, General Secretary of the Committee Mahfooz-un-Nabi Khan said that during the tenure of Liaquat Ali Khan, three surplus budgets were presented and four public sector universities were established by him.
