A criminal was killed by the firing of his accomplice during a dacoity bid in rural suburbs of Kabirwala late night Thursday. Police said three dacoits snatched a motorcycle, MNK-9580, from Riaz Hussain near mauza Khati chor and resorted to looting commuters at another place, three kilometres away. The dacoits stopped a pick-up, MNS-2646 and asked its driver Nazar Hussain to hand over all valuables what he possessed.
Nazar, however, resisted following which one of the dacoits opened fire, which hit his own accomplice who died on the spot. The dead was later identified as Ramzan alias Rami r/o Mari Sahu involved in dozens of cases registered with police stations Tulamba and Sadar Kabirwala. Police registered an FIR under section 309/394/324 of PPC and started search operation for the remaining two criminals.
