NRO beneficiaries urged to resign

23 Nov, 2009

MPA Farah Deeba has said National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) beneficiaries should immediately resign in the larger interest of the country.
"Plunderers of national exchequer should be brought to book so that no one can commit such a crime against the country and the nation in future," she said while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers at her residence here on Sunday.
She said the PML-N had safeguarded national interest by opposing the NRO. She said the party had always worked for the supremacy of the constitution, democracy, judiciary and law and order in the country.
"No PML-N worker is among NRO beneficiaries," she said, adding that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had returned to the homeland through people's power, not the NRO.
