Cold and dry weather expected during next 48 hours

Pakistan Meteorological Department on Sunday forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of Punjab province including Islamabad during next 48 hours. However, it said that isolated thunderstorm and rain is likely to occur at a few places of Rawalpindi division during next 24 hours.
According to Met Office analysis, continental air is still prevailing in most parts of the country and is likely to remain during next 24-36 hours.
However, westerly trough is expected to affect upper parts and North-eastern Balochistan on Monday night.
In Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and NWFP cold and dry weather is likely during 36-48 hours, after that isolated thunderstorm and rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and NWFP during next two days.
Dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh province during next few days. In Balochistan cold and dry weather is likely to prevail during 24 hours. However isolated thunderstorm is expected in Quetta and Zhob divisions on Monday night.
The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday: Islamabad 03 degree Celsius, Lahore 05, Karachi 13, Peshawar 06, Murree 00, Muzaffarbad 03, Quetta -02 degree Celsius and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded -08 Celsius in Skardu.
