Police beef up security for Eid

District Police Hyderabad has adopted foolproof security measures in order to avoid any untoward incident during Eid-ul-Azha. This was stated by District Police Officer (DPO) Hyderabad Javed Alam Odho after presiding over a meeting here on Sunday.
He said that security has also been beefed up at all exit and entry points of the city with deployment of extra police force and checking of all incoming and outgoing vehicles. The DPO said that over 35 closed circuit TV cameras have been installed in different parts of the district with the objective to monitor any dubious activity and to take prompt action as and when necessary.
Besides uniform Police, he informed, plainclothes police personnel have been deputed at all shopping centres, railway stations, bus terminals, hotels, guest houses and cattle markets. The DPO said that all Station House Officers have been directed to enhance mobile patrolling.
