Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed has said that name of Chaudhry Akhtar Ali would be recommended for a Civil Award. He was Chief Engineer at the Irrigation Department and died during his service period. In a condolence meeting, senior minister admired the services rendered by Chaudhry Akhtar Ali. He also announced to appoint one of his sons on compassionate grounds.
Secretary Irrigation Major Azam Suleman (Retd) and a large number of chief engineers and officers attended the condolence meeting.
