The Enforcement Directorate of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) launched an anti-encroachment operation in Moon Market, Allama Iqbal Town, on Tuesday, and confiscated eight trucks load of goods from the area that were hampering easy movement of the pedestrians.
According to a LDA spokesman, the LDA staff demolished all encroachments, stalls and makeshift shops in the area, and impounded a large number of counters, stoves and ovens, chairs, benches and other items that had been placing hurdles in the passage. For keeping check on possible re-erecting of encroachments, the LDA has planned to carry out monitoring of the area regularly.
