Railways to run four Eid special trains

Pakistan Railways has decided to run four special trains to cope with the heavy rush during Eid-ul-Azha holidays, a spokesperson of the Ministry told Business Recorder here on Wednesday. "The notification in this regard has also been issued," an official of the Railways Ministry told Business Recorder here. Regarding a question he said that due to less number of the locomotives, the Ministry has decided to run only four trains against six usually run on such occasion.
The official said the first train departed from Karachi Railway Station for Peshawar on Wednesday at 1730 hours while second special train would leave Karachi for Sargodha via Faisalabad on Thursday at 1200 hours. The third Eid special train would leave Karachi for Rawalpindi on Thursday at 1400 hours and the final Eid special train would leave Quetta for Peshawar on Thursday at 1030 hours. The Spokesperson maintained that despite huge financial crunch faced by the Pakistan Railways, Ministry is taking initiatives to facilitate passengers".
