Chief of the Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has announced to seek justice from the Supreme Court against delay in by-elections. While talking to the media after dismissal of his inter court appeal (ICA) challenging single bench orders. He said the decision on ICAs was according to the expectation and he would approach the Supreme Court, which is apex forum to get justice.
He said election commission of Pakistan is an independent forum but it would not have good effect by this verdict. On a question that he already had predicted about the by-polls to be held before 2010, Rashid said that he had made this sweeping statement before the division bench also and it is on card that by-elections would be held next year.
