Bajaur Green beat ICP in exhibition match

Bajaur Green defeated Islamia College by seven wickets in their first match during their visit to Peshawar at Campus ground on Wednesday. Islamia College won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 165 runs with Rehan Khan Afridi struck 48 runs including five boundaries and one six, Zakir made 30 runs and Muhammad Saleh scored 25 runs with three boundaries and a six.
For Bajaur Green Walayat Shah took three wickets and Zia-ul-Rehman and Gul Zada got two wickets each. In reply to 165 runs target, Bajaur Green raced up to the target for the loss of three wickets. Walayat Shah also shined with the bat and made a graceful 67 runs with five boundaries and two sixes.
He also played a key role in his team success. Zia-ur-Rehman made elegant 41 runs and Gul Zada scored 30 runs. For Islamia College Peshawar (ICP), Sajid Khan, Sohail Khan and Muhammad Ali took one wicket each. On the outstanding performance Walayat Shah was declared man of the match.
Team coach Iqbal Khan team manager Yaqoob Khan appreciated the performance of Bajaur team. Talking to APP, Yaqoob Khan said that they will give competitive exposure to the players of Bajaur Agency. He disclosed that Bajaur is full of game talent but lack of opportunity, the players did not show their actual form so far.
