Cleanliness during Eid: complaint centres set up

On the directions of DCO, Saeed Wahlah, the municipal services department has established various complaint centres on town level for the monitoring of the cleanliness in the city during Eid-ul-Azha days.
According to the notification issued in this regard, the central complaint centre had been set up in EDOs complex which would be supervised by the DDO (Solid Waste Management) Dr Aslam Parvez whose cell No 0321-8663317 and land-line no. 041-9201378 have been provided at the said centre. In the area of Jinnah Town, the same complaint centre would work at Fire Brigade office, Narwala road, Ghulam Muhammadabad, which would be supervised by DO (Solid Waste Management) Dr Rai Fakhar Zaman whose cell no. is 0323-6031507.
Similarly, in Iqbal Town, the complaint centre has been set up at Govt. Dispensary Fawara Chowk, Peoples Colony no.2 under the supervision of DO (Solid Waste Management), Dr Iftikhar Ahmad whose cell no. is 0300-6637358. Complaint centre of Madina town had been set up Fire Brigade Station, Satiana road, which would work under the supervision of DDO (Solid Waste Management), Dr Abdul Satar Qureshi, whose cell no. is 0323-6636672 and land line no. 041-9220337. The complaint centre of Lyallpur town would work at EDO complex, under the supervision of DDO (Solid Waste Management), Dr Aslam Parvez whose cell no. is 0321-8663317.
DCO Saeed Wahlah informed that the city has been divided into two zones to make the cleanliness campaign a success on Eid-ul-Azha for the disposal of offal, entrails and other waste of sacrificial animals. He told that south zone was comprised of Iqbal Town and Madina Town, whose in charge would be Dr Ishfaq Ahmad, DO (Health-III) with cell no. 0321-7007400, while north zone was comprised of Lyallpur town and Jinnah town, whose in charge would be Dr Tariq Javed DO (Health-IV), having cell no. 0321-6658025. EDO Municipal Services, Ashiq Hussain Dogar (Cell No 0333-6504208) would be the overall in charge of the cleanliness campaign.
The DCO stressed upon the concerned officers to effectively implement the cleanliness programme in the city during the Eid days, and directed that the performance of sanitary staff be closely monitored on regular basis. He directed that the sprinkling of water around the mosques, Eidgahs, main roads and chowks of the city should also be ensured.
The DCO also appealed the citizens to play their role in keeping their locality neat and clean by wrapping offal in a plastic bag and placing it at a prominent place near their houses which would help the sanitary staff to lift and shift it to the nearest collection centre, the same day. He announced that any complaint regarding the cleanliness should be registered in the complaint centre, so that immediate action could be taken for the addressing the same.
