CDA to prepare PC-1 of new security plan for Red Zone

PC-1 of new security plan for Red Zone will be prepared by the Capital Development Authority, the spokesman of district administration said.
The decision to this effect was made in a meeting attended by Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Kaleem Imam, Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed, Director Dev/Finance Anita Turab and other high officials of concerned departments.
Structural design of PC-1 (New Security Plan) for beefing up security in the Red Zone including Diplomatic Enclave was discussed in this meeting chaired by the Chief Commissioner Islamabad Fazeel Asghar.
The participants of the meeting were also briefed about the survey report of Red Zone conducted by the officials of ICT Administration and Islamabad Police.
A fencing will be raised around the Red Zone including Diplomatic Enclave under the PC-1 of new security plan. The participants were informed that new security installation system will further enhance security and surveillance in the Red Zone. It was decided in the meeting that the structural design of PC-1 will also include installation of grill gates at the entry points of Red Zone where necessary drop down barriers will also be erected.
Besides this, walk through gates, CCTV cameras will also be installed and guard rooms, wash rooms and operation rooms will also be constructed near the gates.
