Seven killed, three hurt in various incidents

At least seven people were killed and three injured in different incidents including road accidents across the city during three days of Eid-ul-Azha. A young boy was killed by a sharp knife during a dispute with his relative in Orangi Town area on Saturday.
Police said a 30-year-old boy Faryal, son of Manzoor had a quarrel with his relative in his house in Mominabad area of Orangi over a petty issue. He was attacked by a sharp knife with the result he died on the spot while the attackers fled from the scene. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
A case has been registered, however, no arrest was made so far. A young man was killed when two unidentified persons attacked him with a sharp knife in Mira Naka area of Lyari Town on the first day of Eid. Two unidentified persons attacked Afsar Ali, son of Akbar Ali, a resident of Street No 4 Mira Naka, near Fire Brigade office, leaving him dead on the spot.
However, the reason of his murder could not be ascertained. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal proceedings. Police have registered a case and started search for the accused. On the 2nd day of Eid, a man lost his life while his son sustained serious wounds when an overspeeding truck hit them in North Karachi.
According to police, a hit-and-run truck struck a motorcycle at Do Minute Chowrangi, leaving two of its riders identified as Abdul Lateef son Hussain Buksh and his son Adil seriously injured. Both were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Abdul Lateef succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The condition of Adil is stated to be out of danger. A man was killed while another sustained serious injuries while crossing MA Jinnah Road near Imambargah.
A speeding hit-and-run car hit two persons who were crossing MA Jinnah Road, with the result, one whose identity could not be ascertained died on the spot while Daniyal son of Ashfaq received serious injuries and was shifted to CHK for medical treatment. On third day of Eid, three youths were killed while another injured when the tie-rod of their vehicle broken in Mominabad area of Malir Town in the wee hours on Sunday.
Three young men identified as Wasif son of Nazim, Danish son of Manzoor and Rehan son of Abdul Sattar were killed while Kamal son of Qamaruddin sustained serious injuries when the tie-rod of Suzuki Mehran they were travelling in suddenly broke, resulting in overturning of the vehicle. The bodies and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Center (JPMC).
