HHRD distributes sacrificial meat among needy

Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), a non-profit organisation, sacrificed thousands of animals on Eid ul Azha under its Sacrificial Project 2009 and distributed the meat to more than 100,000 poor and needy persons. The meat was distributed in all the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Swat, Fata, Bajaur and Waziristan to the people affected by Earthquake and the army operation, Arbabuddin, Co-ordination, Sacrificial Project 2009 told reporters.
He said the project was supported by volunteers and local people. Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) is responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, colour, cultural diversity and social background; with special focus in countries where the massive population living below the poverty line. HHRD also works on long term development programmes like Livelihood, Economic Empowerment, Orphan and Widows Support Program and Skill Development Progra-mmes.
