ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Thursday that currently electricity demand of Gwadar area was being met through import of 104 MW power from Iran, through 132 KV interconnection lines between Pakistan and Iran.
In a written reply, Minister In-charge of Energy said further import of 100 MW power from Iran was under consideration to meet electricity demand of Gwadar area.
Besides, he said, installation of 300 MW imported coal based power plant at Gwadar had been planned under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
