DCOs told to conduct survey of encroached state land

Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain has directed the DCOs and revenue officers of Faisalabad Division to launch an affective campaign against the 'Qabza Groups' for the retrieval of state land from the illegal processions after conducting comprehensive survey of encroached state land, in this regard.
He further said that the revenue officials showing negligence and lethargic attitude during the campaign against 'Qabza Mafia' would not be spared. He further said that legal action should be initiated against the developers of unauthorised housing societies and schemes and transfers of plots are immediately stopped in such schemes. He further directed to recover the cost of state land, which is being utilised for various facilities in government and private housing schemes.
These directions were issued at a meeting presided over by the Divisional Commissioner to review the actions taken against 'Qabza Groups' and matters of housing colonies and other revenue issues in the division DCOs from Faisalabad, Jhang and T T Sinhg Saeed Wahlah, Asad Islam Mahni, Amanullah Khan and DORs and ACR Mahr Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq and others attended the meeting.
Divisional Commissioner said that being a custodian of state land district collectors(DORs) and his team of each district as custodian of state land should ensure the foolproof security arrangements of state land. The chair also directed to vacate the encroached state land, because of not using by the concerned government departments.
He also directed the concerned revenue officers to detect the persons using the state land illegally for cultivation adjacent to the Rest Houses, government residential colonies and action should taken against these persons. Provision of transport, stationary and other facilities for the field staff to improve their official working, updating of revenue record, completion of consolidation work, early disposal of revenue cases, security of the offices and other important revenue matter were also came under discussion and the chair issued necessary directions to the revenue officers in this regard.
