The operation of cleaning city roads for blood spots of sacrificial animals is under way in the jurisdiction of Jinnah Town and Lyallpur Town have been washed on Wednesday. EDO MS Ashiq Hussain Dogar said that the important roads in Iqbal Town and Madina Town would be washed on Wednesday.
For this purpose, six sweeping machines, 25 water tankers and six spray machine will be deployed, 300 staffers of the municipal services department would take part in the operation. Dogar said that Samundri Road, Satiana Road, Jaranwala, both sides canal road, Susan Roads, D Ground roads, the road from Kohinoor Chowk to D Ground, the road from D Ground to Satiana Road and the road from Gatewala chowk to Fawara Chowk, Batala Colony had been included in the washing programme.
He said that the Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness plan had been successfully implemented under the direct supervision of DCO Saeed Wahlah. He appreciated the performance and efforts of the staff and officers of solid waste management, and said that the efforts had been made by the municipal services department to come up to the expectations of citizens.
