Spanish giants Real Madrid, the world's richest football club in terms of income, will launch its first lingerie line for women next year, sports daily Marca reported Wednesday. In addition to the souvenir jerseys, t-shirts, coffee mugs and other items already on offer, supporters of the club will soon be able to buy boxer shorts, slips and bras bearing the club's logo, the newspaper said.
The lingerie will be made by Valencia-based textile company Little Kiss and it will hit store shelves in March. Growing revenues from merchandise sales combined with increasingly shrewd global marketing have made Real the world's largest revenue-generating club, according to an annual ranking compiled by business advisory firm Deloitte. The club's marketing revenues account for more than 100 million euros of its annual budget of over 400 million euros.
