Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 128,049 tonnes of cargo including 97,677 tonnes import and 30,372 tonnes export cargo including 3,174 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 81,908 tonnes dry cargo including 40,705 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 4,799 tonnes DAP; 6,365 tonnes urea powder; 22,800 tonnes coal; 1,963 tonnes rice; 5,276 tonnes cement and 46,141 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Three ships namely Red Sea Spirit, Sima Sahba and Bunga Raya Tujuh sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels viz Thuringia Express, Helveta and Hyundai Baron are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Al-Soor-II, Al-Marwah, Helveta, Yordan Lutibrodski and Thuringia Express expected to sail on Thursday, while another two vessels viz Hyundai Baron and FPMC P Fortune are expected to sail on Friday. Two ships namely PAC Aries and Atromitos due to arrive on Thursday, while another five ships namely Bunga Raya Enam, YM America, APL Balboa, Lucky Carrier and Luna Blue are due to arrive on Friday.

Three ships namely Santa Catalina, Vincaton and Omega Queen sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while a container ship namely Ville De Orion is expected to sail on Thursday. A total of eight vessels viz Aqua Grace, Dolphin-3, Wales-II, Grigoroussai, Antarctic, Hiba Al-Nour-B, Al-Abdali and Iblea scheduled to load/offload cement, furnace oil, chemicals, containers and furnace oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely Ville De Orion, Santa Catalina, MV Kom, Colina, MV Alexi-III, MV Sun rise-89, Omega Queen and MV Vincaton are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours. Three vessels viz Tong List, Donau Trader and Maersk Novazzano carrying iron ore and containers are expected to arrive.
