Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Naheed Khan has criticised the government for its failure in exposing the murderers of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the PPP leader also contradicted the Prime Minister's statement that Baitullah Mehsud was behind the killing of Mohtarma.
According to her, any such statement was totally incorrect as well as contrary to the facts. Naheed Khan said the government should focus on basic problems of the public to restore its credibility in the country. Safdar Abbasi also spoke on the occasion, and said the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) beneficiaries should resign immediately in the larger interest of the party.
He also urged President Asif Ali Zardari to start consultation process immediately to save the democracy in the country, which was ensured after great sacrifice. He said the government should strengthen the democracy and democratic institutions by taking all political parties into confidence.
