Senator Jamal Leghari escapes unhurt

Some unknown accused fired bullets in the direction of motor-boat carrying Senator Sardar Jamal Khan Leghari here at Ghazi Ghat on Sunday, however, the senator remained unhurt. Rana Akram Khalid, secretary to former federal minister Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Leghari said that the Senator and his companions were hunting when they heard gun shots from other side of the Indus River.
He said the Senator and his companions remained safe due to longer distance. The Senator's security guards also returned fire forcing the accused to flee. Rana Akram said it was un-cleared whether the attack was targeted, he however added the criminals had their hideout in the riverine area. SHO Darahma police station Khalid Saleem said the police were investigating the matter.
