Series of blasts in country widely condemned

Provincial Minister for Environment and Alternate Energy, Shaikh Mohammed Afzal, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Textile, Senator Gul Mohammed Lot and Chief Minister's Advisor for Inquiries and Inspection Waqas Malik have condemned series of blasts in Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta and Multan. In a joint statement they described it a conspiracy aimed at defaming Islam and weakening the country and government.
The government will continue its military operation against terrorists and extremists until each of them is eliminated and extremism annihilated. They called upon the people belonging to all segments of the society to raise forceful voice condemning the series of blasts, which claimed lives of innocent men, women and children.
They said that the government would show no letup in its resolve against terrorism and continue to fight it out with the co-operation of people, media, law enforcers and political and religious parties. They said that entire nation is at the back of our armed forces in the war on terror. Advisor to Chief Minister Imtiaz Shaikh also condemned Qasim Bela Multan blast and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
