Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has postponed its scheduled public meeting at Mochi Gate to be addressed by President Asif Ali Zardari due to security concerns after Moon Market bomb blasts. Addressing a joint press conference here at PPP Punjab Office, Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed and PPP Punjab President Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan announced the postponement of the public gathering.
They said the PPP Punjab had advised the party's co-chairman, President Asif Ali Zardari, to postpone the public meeting scheduled for December 13 at Mochi Gate, Lahore. President Zardari, they said, has accordingly agreed to postpone the meeting. They said that they recommended the President to postpone the gathering after consulting law enforcement agencies in view of the prevailing security situation.
