Former Federal Minister and Member of the National Assembly, Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti has said that the government has miserably failed to deliver and in fulfilment of electoral promises. Addressing a public meeting in Jhande, Swabi Road, Mardan, he said that the rulers have neither succeeded in the restoration of peace nor arrested the skyrocketing price at both provincial and national level.
The public meeting arranged by Muti-ur-Rehman under the presidentship of Ghulam Sarwar Kaka was largely attended by the people. Khwaja Hoti is the only politician, who is staging open public meeting in current security situation in the province. He said that in the past, the leadership of ANP was getting money from India, but now they are getting it from United States for killing Pukhtoons.
He said that the government failed to come up to the expectations of the people within a short period and has involved in corruption openly. He said that government instead of taking steps for the resolution of the problems of people has raised a non-issue in the name of the renaming of the province. The former federal minister said that the provincial government had broken 62 years' record of the disgracing of Pukhtoons. He said that people visiting the residences of the rulers have been insulted in the name of security. He accused both Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and his father former federal minister Azam Hoti for involvement in corrupt practices.
The officials of the government are taking commission in each and every contract and doing anything without payment of commission is impossible in the province. He said that people have always hatched conspiracies against Pukhtoons.
He said that his life is like open book, saying he had neither involved in corruption himself nor allowed any one for it. He said that during his recent Huj, he had sought the forgiveness of the Allah Almighty for sin committed by him through joining hands with corrupt people for a short period. Khawaja Hoti lambasted PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif for favouring the continuation of the present set up in the country. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif himself was ruling in the largest province of Punjab and has no concern for the people of other parts of the country.
