Former Mayor Rawalpindi and Lal Haveli's spokesman Haider Ali was laid to rest here at Jadeed Qabaristan in Dhok Ilahi Bux on Friday. He was suffering from protracted illness. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, head of Awami Muslim League in his condolence message said that Haider Ali's services as the Mayor of Rawalpindi and spokesman of Lal Haveli will always be remembered.
He lauded Haider's national, political and social services and said he was also a very honest and noble person. Haider Ali's Namz-i-Janaza was attended by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Nazim Rawal Town Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, MNA Hanif Abbasi, MPA Ziaullah Shah, MPA Sheryar Riaz, MPA Hanif Advocate, Chairman Chief Minister Monitoring and Development Committee Sardar Nasim, traders representatives, officials of Tehsil Municipal Administration and Town Municipal Administration, besides his friends and family members.
