Lahore Corps sends relief goods to Waziristan IDPs

To support the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of South Waziristan, Lahore Corps has contributed relief goods worth Rs 6 million. The second consignment of the relief goods donated by Lahore Corps comprising 14 trucks left Lahore for D. I. Khan here on Tuesday.
The consignment contains packets of food items and winter clothing for over 600 families. Under the directives of Corps Commander, Lahore, Lieutenant General Ijaz Ahmed Bakhshi, the package has been prepared keeping in view the daily needs of a family for one month. It includes edibles like rice, flour, pulses, sugar, other articles of daily use and winter clothing and tents. Lahore Corps has so far dispatched relief goods worth Rs 18 million in total for the displaced persons of South Waziristan.
