The Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan will launch a book on rural development on December 18 in Bahawalpur. An announcement to this effect was made by the OUP Pakistan here on Thursday. It said the OUP Pakistan would launch the publication in collaboration with Akhtar Hameed Khan Resource Centre (AHKRC) and Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN).
The book is titled "Participatory Rural Development in Pakistan: Experience of Rural Support Programmes". It has been written by Mahmood Hasan Khan and published by the OUP Pakistan. This volume relates the stories of nine rural support programmes (RSPs) and focuses on their partnerships with rural communities in all the four provinces of Pakistan. The launching ceremony will be held on December 18 at the Islamia University Bahawalpur.
