Faran elected KPC president

Muhammad Imtiaz Khan Faran of 'The Democrats' was elected President of Karachi Press Club in the KPC elections 2010, held here on Saturday. It was a landslide victory for 'The Democrats', who bagged all the seats for office-bearers. Faran secured 429 votes while his opponent Khurshid Tanweer got 329 votes. A H Khanzada returned as KPC secretary with highest 459 votes. His opponent Ashraf Khan managed to get 293 votes.
Amir Latif vying for Vice President bagged 431 votes while opponent Abdul Majid Bhatti got 315 votes. Those who were elected to the Governing Body included: Ahmed Khan Malik, Kamran Razi, Zeb Azkar Hussain, Ajiz Jamali, Hina Mahgul, Asif Jiaja and Shams Keerio.
