Philippines share prices will likely remain flat in the coming week because of the limited trading days around Christmas, dealers said Friday. The composite index fell by 0.47 percent, or 14.14 points, over the week to close at 3,016.99 points. Average daily volume amounted to 2.554 billion shares worth 2.759 billion pesos (59.05 million dollars) this week.
"We'll probably see very thin trading volumes next week since we will only have three days of trading," said Lawrence de Leon, of Accord Capital Equities Inc.
Trading in the coming week will be within a tight range of 2,980 to 3,020 points, he added. December 24 and 25 are holidays.
