Dutch auto maker Spyker Cars says it has submitted a new offer to buy Saab Automobiles from General Motors Co Spyker said in a statement Sunday it has submitted an 11-point proposal to GM, addressing the issues that arose during previous talks to buy the Swedish brand.
Spyker CEO Victor R. Muller says he is ``very confident' that the renewed offer will remove previous obstacles in the negotiations. He says Spyker should be able to conclude a deal to buy Saab before the end of December. GM on Friday said it would wind down Saab after talks with Spyker collapsed. Saab employs about 3,400 people world-wide, most of them at its main plant in Trollhattan, Sweden.
