Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, Sharmila Farooqui while paying rich tributes to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on the eve of her second death anniversary, said on Saturday that one Karbala-like incident took place in Pakistan on April 04, 1979 in Adiyala Jail Rawalpindi and second occurred on December 27, 2007 in Liaquat Bagh of the same city in which Benazir was assassinated.
"Dictator of every period sets its own examples of tyranny, barbarism and mercilessness. Benazir during her life time followed the lesson of Bibi Zainab (AS) as she saw martyrdom of his father and two brothers during her struggle for flourishing real democracy and development in the country," she said in a message on the occasion of Benazir Bhutto's second death anniversary to be observed across the country on December 27, 2007.
Sharmila said the martyrdom of Benazir is such a tragic incident on which history will to weep forever. What was the crime of that oppressed and noble woman of Islamic world? Was it that she returned home by putting her life in danger in order to materialise the dream of her great father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for changing the fate of Pakistani people and making the country a developed, enlightened and prosperous.
People of Pakistan feel a link between incidents of Karbala and Liaquat Bagh. She said that those who assassinated Benazir might have thought that they would succeed in gaining their nefarious designs but they had forgot that the right is force but force not the right.
Sharmila said two years have lapsed after martyrdom of Benazir but Yazids of time have still not changed their attitudes as they are seen adopting ravish attitudes. "They have become more active to snatch the rights of people but they are not aware that the brutal assassination of Benazir will become their death warrant."
She said the atrocity on great daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has become so challenging that it has awakened the whole world and the history has made advancement in its journey with high speed.
"Anti-democracy forces are hatching such conspiracies in which they will be trapped themselves. The advisor said that President Asif Ali Zardari is becoming more popular among people after wrong propaganda against him because it was he who raised the slogan of 'Pakistan Khappe' at a time when Pakistan has almost lost its existence due to assassination of Benazir.
She said: "President followed the lesson of Ahl-e-Bait and adopted great patience. People are now well aware that anti-state elements are carrying out wrong propaganda against him. They are those elements who also killed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's two sons Shahnawaz Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and his brave daughter Benazir Bhutto."
Sharmila said that the oppressed people are lining up and getting united with more spirit. The mourning on December 27 will provide no shelter to Yazids of this time at any place as the assassination of Benazir has started bringing revolution-like situation.
