SPM Stags win Quaid day cricket

Sayid Paper Mills (SPM) Stags won the honour in Quaid Day Cricket when they imposed 52 runs win over Lahore Whites at Garhi Shahue's Railway Stadium on Saturday. The match was organised by SPM Cricket Club on 133rd birth anniversary of the founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Lahore Whites won the toss and asked Stags to bat who made 234-9 with Kamran Khan 89, Shahid Anwar 35, Rafaqat 22, Arshad Iqbal 13, Arshed Rafai 19*.
The successful bowlers were Amjad 3-29, Shahid 2-38, Tariq Rasheed 1-49, Raza 1-2 and Asif 1-12. Lahore Whites managed 182-7 in reply with Dastagir Butt 80, Amir Akbar 44, Raza Khan 31. Zia uddin 3-40, Iftikhar Ahmed 2-15 were successful bowlers.
Later on, Chief Guest Mian Farooq Hussain presented Man of the Match Award to Kamran Khan. Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA)' Chief Executive Officer Ashiq Qureshi, SPM head Aizad Sayid, Uzair Abdullah, Tahir Chughtai, Sajjad Butt, Arif Mughal were also present on this occasion.
