Chief Justice LHC takes suo motu notice against police

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif here Thursday took suo motu notice against police for letting off murderers of a B.Com student. The Chief Justice took notice on a news item appeared in a national Urdu daily stating that Syed Jawad-ud-Din brother of five sisters was murdered over an old enmity.
It alleged that airport police Rawalpindi registered a case in this regard but let off the culprits within half an hour. The Chief Justice taking suo motu action over the incident observed, "I would like to know the actual facts and direct the SP Investigation and SHO police station Airport Rawalpindi to appear before this court along with record of the case on January 01 next."
